(English) The European business and the Bulgarian representatives in the EP will discuss the possibilities to improve their partnership
On January 29, in Brussels, on BIA initiative, a meeting is organized between the Bulgarian MEP’s and the heads of BUSINESSEUROPE the confederation of the European business (www.businesseurope.eu) whose member is BIA.
Host of the meeting will be Mr. Philippe de Buck – Secretary General of BUSINESSEUROPE, and BIA will be represented by Mr. Danev – BIA President, Mr. Jean-Marie Standaert – permanent representative of BIA in Brussels, and Mr. Branimir Handjiev – Director General of BIA’s International Organizations and Programmes Center.
The Bulgarian ambassador to EU Mr. Boyko Kotzev will also participate in the meeting.
The meeting agenda foresees the discussion to be focused on few key issues on which the Bulgarian business relies for assistance and cooperation with the Bulgarian MEP’s, and namely:
• What changes in the European legislation are expected and what will be the connection with the Bulgarian business and more specifically – with the sector organizations?
• If the European legislation is well transposed in Bulgaria and what are the transition periods for its implementation?
Additional accent will be put on the effectiveness and the transparency on the absorption of EU Funds, for which matter participation in the meeting was confirmed by the Vice Minister of Finance – Mr. Atanas Kuntchev, who is in charge of the auditing the absorption of EU Funds.
