From July until July 3, the Alliance of liberals and democrats for Europe is holding an out-of- the European Parliament working week in Tallinn, Estonia. Bilyana Raeva and her colleagues from MRF are going there to discuss upon actual European Parliament’s agenda issues. In the frames of their program, the group of the Alliance members of the European Parliament are going to exchange views with the Estonian Prime Minister Andrus Ansip, leader of the Estonian Reform Party, and with the Mayor of Tallinn Edgar Savisaar, who is going to present to the EP members the way Tallinn prepares to become the European Capital of Culture in 2011 under the motto “The eternal fairy tales”.
On Wednesday, the members of the European Parliament are meeting with Siim Kallas Administrative Affairs, Audit and Anti-Fraud Commissioner form Estonia, Vice Chairman of the European Commission, to discuss taxation and social insurance issues.
During a roundtable discussion “E-society: opportunities and threats”on Thursday, Bilyana Raeva, Member of the European Parliament, is going to accentuate on the issue of e-government and its capacities. Ms. Kristina Ouland (the Vice-Chairperson to the Estonian Parliament) had already touched this issue during the last week’s Crans Montana summit in Monaco, attended by Bilyana Raeva too. Her idea is to take part in discussions on the best practices and to reveal how these practices, applied in Bulgaria, can help to improve government and public administration in Bulgaria. New and advanced digital infrastructure in the EU has brought a new situation to our daily activities connected to this infrastructure – e-signatures that are in use everywhere for more than 15 years now, free Internet and interactive contacts with the administration. The discussion is going to be in an interactive form, in online connection with the Estonian Government and with a demonstration of the e-vote and e-identification.
The Group of Liberals’ program will be combined also with visits to cultural and historic sites in Tallinn, like the Estonian Parliament and the Patarei sea fortress. The members of the European Parliament will be acquainted with the history of Tallinn, the largest Estonian city for the last 800 years. The previous out-of-the European Parliament meeting of the Liberals has been held in Ukraine. online meds from india. Order noroxin generic
