Bilyana Raeva has been elected a Chairwoman to the Delegation for relations with Switzerland, Iceland and Norway and to the European Economic Area (EEA) Joint Parliamentary Committee
On September 5th, during the parliamentary meeting in Strasbourg, Bilyana Raeva has been unanimously elected a Chairwoman to the Delegation for relations with Switzerland, Iceland and Norway and to the European Economic Area (EEA) Joint Parliamentary Committee. The NMSS Member of the European Parliament replaces on this position Ms Diana Wallis, the Vice Chairperson to the European Parliament.
Among the Delegation’s priorities are: accession of Bulgaria and Romania to the EEA to allow free movement of persons; fisheries and maritime affairs; the taxation system in the countries members of EEA and Switzerland; energy efficiency and safety; as well as the reforms taking place in the EU and the opportunities for new countries to apply for accession .As a Chairperson to the Delegation, Ms Raeva will be contributing for the application of the EEA and Bulgaria and Romania rapprochement financial instrument.
