After the Centre was opened, in “Hemus” hotel, an information day was organized to present the Operational program “Regional Development”. The lecture had been delivered by the chief of department North-East Planning Region” at the MRDB – Vidin, Ms Boryana Voicheva. The meeting, that was meant to acquaint the participants with the Operational Program application opportunities, turned into a discussion, and in it, priorities for the district, and ways of how they should be solved, have been depicted. The participants – mainly mayors of minor settlements in the region as well as civil servants from the Municipality of Vratza and the District administration, united around the position, that a District Council should be organized. All project ideas should be deposited in the Council, allowing it to evaluate the best ones, to prepare them for applying for the Operational programs, for better results to be achieved.
“I trust the Information office should become a platphorm and a gathering point for exchaning ideas and for integrating projects from the district as a whole”, said Bilyana Raeva after the ending of the seminar, and she made a commitment to organize a new discussion on the Operational Programs as early as in January.
